Christ Our Cornerstone Discipleship Prayer Journal September 10, 2023

Words for Thought: (Matthew 18:19-20)

“Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 2For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Pray:

Dear Lord, it is awesome to be together in this place. “For where two or three are gathered in Jesus’ name, you are right there with us.” We celebrate your creation in the change of seasons. The different colors are beautiful here in the mountains. They remind us that we are all different yet connected to one another. Most of all, we celebrate that no matter what happens, you are present in all times, all places and in all things. In Jesus name we pray.

Apply:

Let me suggest that you reflect on the last three years and what it felt like to be apart. Then, celebrate that we are here together.

Yield:

We are stronger together. Community is a powerful from of God’s grace.

Remember:

As we approach our Homecoming Cornerstone event on October 15, let me suggest that you take some time to remember the people, and the events, that we celebrate as a community that gathers, worships, prays, fellowships, serves, and witnesses in Jesus’ name. We hope that you reflect on your memories here at Elizabeth Chapel, please bring pictures and stories to help us remember who we are and where we are going as beloved children of God. Contact Pastor Ben if you have something to share with the Homecoming/Cornerstone Team

Engage:

Discuss with another person this week what it means to be together in community here at Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church.
