Prayer Journal for Sunday March 17 "A Journey of Love" from The Gospel of John 12:20-33.

This picture hangs on the wall of our home, and the words have become my life's motto. Let me encourage you to think about your life's journey this week and pray through the Gospel Lesson and reflect on the following, " I believe God will do something good in your life when you put the power of P.R.A.Y.E.R into practice daily."

Prayer Journal of Sunday March 17

Prayer:

O God of love, thank you for sending your son Jesus for all people. May all those who are curious find a warm welcome in our church. Help us to grow stronger in our desire to serve and follow Jesus in our community and our world today. Amen.

Read: John 12:20-33

Apply:

·       What was your Holy Moment this past week?

·       What is today’s passage saying about God’s love and our

        love for one another?

In John 12:26, Jesus says, “Whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am there will my servant be also.” What does it mean for us to serve and follow Jesus today?

In John 12:27-28, Jesus says that his soul is troubled and asks that his Father, “glorify your name.” A heavenly voice responds and says, “I have glorified it and will glorify it again.” What might this heavenly affirmation have meant to Jesus as he was anticipating his crucifixion? Where do you find comfort and strength during difficult times?

Yield:

· What will you yield to God this week to serve and follow Jesus?

· How does your choice to follow Jesus yield more faith, more,

  hope, and more love?

Engage:

· Where have you engaged in sharing Holy Moments during this

  Lenten Season?

Remember:

· What is your favorite memory this Lenten Season?

· Let us worship and praise God for including us on this Journey of

  Love!
