I, was invited to Elizabeth Chapel by my Mother in law Kathryn Smith..She was a long time member here and I came several times with her. Sadly she passed away in 2006. It was many years before I returned back. I decided one day that I needed to get the children and myself back in church so I came one Sunday. I was afraid that I wouldn't know anyone ..I thought I won't know a soul in that church...but I came.
I sat on the right side in row 6. That was Don Moore's row and he sat down behind me and he wasn't very quiet when he said this.."We are on the wrong row...This isn't our pew". He leaned over to his wife and said"You, need to ask her to move." When I heard that I turned around and said "Did I get your spot?"..He said..."Yes, Yes you did!"...I said "Do you want me to move?"..He said .."Yes,Yes I do!"..I said "I'll move up one!"..He said"No you are going to move up TWO"..and counted out the rows in front of me and said "Number Four is where you are going to sit"..I have to tell you I was a little afraid of Don after that...and wasn't sure if I should come back. Here I am still in row four.
Again I, wasn't sure if I would know anyone here...I was afraid to look around last week But Do Not Be Afraid went over in my thoughts and I did come back the next Sunday..
I went and sat in row four and decided to turn around to see if I knew anyone..and to my surprise I knew a few of you folks...I left that day with a peace and a calmness that only The Lord could have gave me...and I knew I was right where I needed to be..
That is my Elizabeth Chapel Moment .
