Words for Thought(2 Timothy 3:16-17)
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Sermon Notes:
Billy Graham said, “I’ve read the last page of the Bible. It’s all going to turn our all right.” The Bible is inspired by God, and you might ask the question, “What is it good for?” Paul says, that the Bible is “useful” for four things. 1. It teaches us the right path to follow 2. The Bible reproves us when we take the wrong path, 3. helps us get back on the right path, and 4. offers training on how to prevent taking the wrong path in the future.
Really the Bible is good for doing life.
And the purpose of the Bible Paul says in verse
17 “So that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work”
Closing Prayer Lord I pray that your living word will dwell in you. May the living word of the Lord dwell with you.
May it live through you.
May it fill your thoughts and deeds.
May it fill your mouth with God’s message of love. May it sustain you in good times and bad.
May it equip you for a ministry of peace and hope! In Jesus name I pray, Amen!
