Pray:
Dear God
It is amazing that I should be called your friend. May I follow all that you command me to do, and in the power of the Holy Spirit, may I love others as Christ loved me. Thank you for being my friend and savior, AMEN.
Read: John 15:9-17
Apply:
Reflect on the following statements and try to apply them to your life.
Every single person offers care, and every single person is a possible recipient of care. No one is understood to be without a gift. Everyone has the capacity to help. Everyone is understood to likely need help at some time. In the Scripture from John, it is incredible that Jesus invites his disciples to be more than servants, he invites them to be friends.
Yield:
How will you yield to God this week?

Engage:
Try to help one person this week. It could be a friend, family member, or a neighbor. Say a prayer for the person you help and promise to pray a prayer of thanksgiving for that person.
Remember:
Christ’s loving friendship is evident when we help others. Also, note how somebody showed you Christ’s love this past week. And give God thanks for His loving friendship.
This is how Christ's joy lives in us when we act as friends of Jesus. How has your joy been completed this week? How will you carry that joy forward in love?
